My client is a market leading SaaS business, based in County Durham, who due to their ongoing success & growth (and resulting internal promotion!) are seeking a talented Software Development Team Lead to join their technical hub.
The Opportunity
The role of Software Development Team Lead would see you heading up a team of developers / testers, delivering cloud hosted software used within a global market. With a significant commercial outlook, you would ensure that projects are delivered to meet not only technical requirements as well as delivery timetables. This role would see you not only taking the technical lead on projects as well as ensuring your team have the support and motivation, along with autonomy, to continue to provide the highest possible standards of applications for their client base.
Development is Microsoft based - C# / .net, Angular front-end (with your usual HTML / CSS / JavaScript), hosted on Azure. Typical duties would include
- Drive day to day development, making use of best practices to not only deliver as required but also produce stable & scalable software applications
- Provide inspiration & support to your team during their day to day development, including regular reviews and appraisals
- Liaise with all interested parties within the business - from other development & technical teams, to stakeholders at all levels
- Assist in resolving any issues during the development lifecycle - being the technical guru when required
- Ensure delivery as required
- Promoting best practices - backlog management, automation, personal development of your team etc
