- Manage 3-5 developers, including contractors.
- Ensure the development team is adequately resourced and following best practices.
- Ensure that development tasks are planned and delivered to required quality and timescales.
- Work with stakeholders to solve issues and deliver tasks, keeping them updated on progress as necessary.
- System design oversight, owning or contributing as possible to architecture and component design and implementation.
- Ensure Definition of Done targets are met.
Must-have Skills
- Solid previous development experience using any software development stack, working on business applications.
- Very good data management experience, both in terms of processing and storage (RDBMS).
- Either 3 years’ previous management experience, or 8+ years in a technical role with supervisory duties.
- Good experience with Agile development practices.
- Demonstrable experience establishing business/user requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud-native technologies (serverless compute, storage and infrastructure), preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Web development experience.
- Good knowledge of DevOps.
- QA knowledge.
