The Role
As an IT Support Technician / Data Analyst your duties will fall into 2 broad camps.

• Day to day technical support for my clients' customers.  This would be your typical network engineering you would expect to find within a retail environment.  Significant variety, all with a high level of customer focus / satisfaction, including being used to dealing with non-technical people.  You can expect to provide both phone and remote log-in support, as well as visiting customer sites, both to resolve any networking / systems issues, as well as hands-on install for new sites.  You will be working with both hardware & software, network cabling (cat5e / cat6 etc), printers, scanners, potentially EPOS / phone systems.
• Data extraction / analysis along with associated report generation.  This will involve significant SQL based data manipulation, so a strong level of Python scripting experience is essential

The Ideal candidate for this challenging and varied role will be able to demonstrate not only strong IT / networking knowledge, a proven background of Python based scripting, and a strong Customer focused approach to their work.  There will be a need for travel to sites across the North East, so you must be able to drive.
